Abstract: 

AbstractPurpose: The velocity of change in the surrounding world has forced them to identify those factors which impact their change capacity. The present study was conducted to identify and prioritize influential factors on organizational change capacity.Methodology: In terms of purpose, this was explorative and applied Research. Its population included ten familiar experts with Research subjects in a Research and training center. By reviewing the literature on change capacity, relevant, influential factors were identified, and they were concurred by the fuzzy Delphi technique, and then they were ranked. After recognizing influential factors, a pair comparisons questionnaire was distributed among ten experts, and after gathering the questionnaires, effecting factors were ranked using the Expert Choice11 Software package and AHP technique.Findings: Results show that organizational culture, structure, and style of leadership were the main factors that impacted change capacity.Conclusion: The influential factors can be divided into three categories: environmental, content, and structural elements. Environmental factors include environment and innovation; content factors include team working, intellectual capital, leadership, political behavior, and human resource management; Structural elements include strategy, structure, organizational policies, information technology, knowledge management, and technology. Value: This is the first time in the literature that the influential variables affecting the change capacity were recognized and categorized in a conceptual classification that has not been seen in the previous Research.

Abstract: 

The current challenge in health services Research is disability to present comprehensive and effective intervention plans for community health promotion. There are numerous reasons in this regard, some of which can be overcome through performance-based participatory Research methods. The Population Research center (PRC) in Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) provides the necessary ground: 1) to innovate original methods in participatory Research that are compatible with our native culture, and 2) to make the results of the population Research applicable to the whole society through target-based executive steps. The steps to implement health promotion (known as Planned Approach To Community Health) include: acquirement of people’s participation, health needs assessment, priority setting for health problems, designing health interventions, and evaluation of the activities. Those parts of this approach, which are mainly concerned with needs assessment in the area of endocrinology and the causal factors of related diseases, have been accomplished. The next step in this field is to plan appropriate intervention projects and to put them into practice through the principles of community participation and community empowerment.

Abstract: 

Background and Objectives Setting Research priorities in the cycle of Research management is critical. The limitation in human and financial resources and policy changes are the most significant reasons necessitating Research priorities to be set. Research prioritization can materialize and be effective at different levels ranging from macro and national to educational and Research levels. To this end, IBTO Research and Education Deputy by this study have embarked on a serious measure in organizing and orientating investigations in IBTO. Materials and Methods First the necessity of the implementation of the project was elaborated in the Research Council and priorities were set. Then, different procedures were conducted based on the guidelines of COHRED (Council on Health Research for Development) and by use of priority-setting instruments applied in Research institutes. At the end, the results were reviewed by the Research Council so that the final priorities were approved of. Results In the present study, out of the whole number of forms distributed for priority-setting, blood centers, headquarter managers and consultants, and the faculty members had respectively a share of 64.28%, 33.33%, and 25.92% in responses. At the process of title collection, more responses were received as compared with the priority setting process. Finally, 99 Research titles in 16 domains were approved of as final priorities by the IBTO Research center. Conclusions Priority-setting was conducted through the method recommended by COHRED for the first time in IBTO. In spite of the participation of the out-of-organization beneficiary, Research centers, and scientific associations, the highest rate of participation goes to intra-organizational groups. Approved priorities can be implemented by a call for Research, the creation of an evaluation system for recommended projects, and survey of approved projects. Thus, the most use can be made of financial and human resources for priority-setting.

Abstract: 

Knowledge Translation (KT) is the meeting ground between two fundamentally different processes: Research and action. It knits them with communicative relationships. Knowledge translation is a dynamic and interactive process that includes synthesis, dissemination, exchange and ethically sound application of knowledge to provide more effective services and products and strengthen system. This is done through a complex system of Researchers and knowledge users. Knowledge translation is catalyst for knowledge cycle in knowledge to action process. Utilization of observation and decision-making appropriate with field conditions that is proposed with knowledge translation is very useful in industrial Researches. This Research proposes a model for knowledge translation from Research to industry (case study: A Defense Industry Research center). By extending the concept of knowledge translation several models and structures are proposed that each one has a strategy to overcome the gap between what we know and what actually happens in practice. In this Research we studied some of them and try to find an appropriate model. The proposed model has seven processes: Research needs assessment, input to Research, Research processes, primary outputs from Research, making a sample for taking customers endorsement, using product and final outcome. For data collection, interviews and questionnaires were used. The population is consisting of experts, managers and Defensive Research centers Researchers who are familiar with knowledge translation issues.

Abstract: 

The increasing competition for limited resources associated with the demand of policymakers, programmer and also utilisers for accountability forced the Research institutes to show the quality and relevance of Research results as well as asked over improvement. So, evaluation and progressive performance of Research institutes are main concerns in developing countries. Although the traditional methods of evaluation have been criticized, much benefit achieved from. However, providing accurate and powerful models and methods are necessary. In this study various approaches, models and procedures were examined. It seems that in suitable conditions the participatory organization assessment introduced by ISNAR included a better ability and capacity comparing with others. Ozgediz evaluation model named CGIAR due to its comprehensive and measurable dimensions provides valid and accurate results. Therefore, the awareness and evaluation of 395 key informants, including high and middle managers and senior experts of the ministry exposed to Rural Research center (RRC) was studied. Evaluation was carried out based on a four dimensions model including; Research results, quality and relevance, vision and strategic direction and management efficiency. General evaluation index of RRC shows a medium level that increases by education degree. Considering the high correlation between the views of respondents and that of their colleagues and superiors, the evaluation results can be generalized to a bigger population. There is a significant relation between the level of contact with RRC and positive evaluations.

Abstract: 

Introduction: Due to the limited number of studies and resources, confusion in selecting a topic and the impracticality of many Research activities, this study was conducted to determine the Research priorities of the Health Research center in Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences regarding social determinants based on the COHRED model. Methods: This was an exploratory qualitative Research conducted with the participation of 11 members of specialists inside and outside the medical sciences university. At first, Research topics were identified through the formation of a strategic committee and the holding 3 focus group discussion sessions,then, the analysis of existing situation, , determination of needs, and prioritization was done based on the four criteria of the COHRED model. Data were analyzed using SPSS software version 21 and the ranking of the extracted fields was done based on comparing the mean score. Results: In this study, 50 Research priorities were identified in five areas related to the social determinants of Health Research center in Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences. The domains, in order of priority, included psycho-behavioral factors, social health, lifestyle, environmental factors, and capacity building. Conclusion: In this study, the Research priorities regarding social determinants of Health Research center in Yazd Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences were determined based on the COHRED model. The first priority was assigned to the behavioral and psychological factors, through which the importance of the concept of a healthy family as the most fundamental social nucleus can be understood. It is suggested that in order to conduct applied Research and specialize the activities of the Research center in line with the set goals and vision, the extracted priorities be taken into consideration by Researchers and graduate students.
